American Legion Childrens Home Grant Update 2008 marks our 80th year of service to children and our generous gift from the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation, we will be launching a campaign specifically designed to expand our ability to provide for more veteran’s children. Currently, our Website is “under construction”. Our Video/Commercial production is scheduled for early May and the writers are already busy creating a script. The remainder of the publisher’s stock for the book written by our alumni, Barbara Alusi, is on order. Our goal is to have the video and commercial completed before the American Legion National Convention so that we may show it at our booth. We are ecstatic to tell others about the amazing history and service which the American Legion has done for the past 8 decades and we look forward to continuing, enhancing and expanding this grand tradition as a sacred obligation to enable the wholesome growth and development of children.
